Why Does the App Say "Under Maintenance"?
If you are attempting to log in and are met with a "Server Under Maintenance" prompt, it means the offshore cloud clusters are temporarily rejecting client handshakes. As an infrastructure hub, Mega888 Wiki tracks these outages.
There are two types of maintenance protocols executed by the developers:
1. Routine Scheduled Maintenance
To perform database garbage collection, patch vulnerabilities, and deploy new graphical assets, the engineers routinely take the servers offline. This typically occurs in the early morning hours (between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM GMT+8) when concurrency is at its lowest. Routine maintenance usually resolves itself within 2 to 3 hours.
2. Emergency Hotfixes
Occasionally, an API gateway fails or a major bug is discovered in a new release. The developers will execute an emergency kill-switch, taking the servers offline immediately to prevent data corruption. Emergency hotfixes can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours.
Client-Side vs Server-Side Issues
Before assuming the server is down, ensure you are not experiencing a local network routing issue. If the app freezes at the loading screen but does not display a specific "Maintenance" popup, you are likely suffering from dropped UDP packets.

Frequently Asked Questions (Server Outages)
How long does Mega888 maintenance usually take?
Routine scheduled maintenance typically takes 2 to 3 hours and is usually performed in the early morning (GMT+8). Emergency hotfixes can take up to 6 hours depending on the severity of the cloud infrastructure issue.
Can I bypass the maintenance screen?
No. When the server is under maintenance, the core authentication API gateway is disabled offshore. No VPN or DNS trick can bypass this; you must wait for the engineers to bring the clusters back online.
